Praise be to You O Lord, for You have written in our hearts the beauty of Your law, may all the world come to know the everliving God within them
Heavenly Father, humble us to relinquish our power and our treasures on earth, that we might gain something greater.
Rid us of wordly notions of truth and justice and place in us only a desire for Your righteousness and Your peace. May we be comforted knowing Your love for us is perfect and Your plans for us will bring You glory. Let all our deeds come from Your hands and may we find Your will when we come before You asking to know it.
Save us from darkness God, and bring Your light to lead us, for where You are, Your people long to be.
Psalm 119: 9-16
The song of Your glory Lord, is played from day to day, the water whispers it to the land, and the land raises it to the creatures that dwell on it. When we hear this song, let us be reminded of Your glory. Let us be reminded that we are a people called to bring the message of Christ crucified to the farthest ends of the earth.
May our eyes a light at the message of the cross, and our hearts rejoice at the purity of Your truths.
For Your wisdom is greather than anything we know, and Your strength is more powerful than we can fathom.
Fill us with a desire for the continuance of Your church, that it would be a place of holiness and righteousness.
Clothe us with salvation and find us singing in joy, for we know that You will give what is good in the land and Your love will endure through every generation
We ask all these things through Jesus Christ our Lord
1 Corinthians 1:18-25
John 2: 13-22
Heavenly Father, You hear the cries of the afflicted and You do not turn from them. Fill us with only the fullest things, a love that is perfect and pure, grace freely given and hope not diminished by the suffering of this world.
Lord You are theme of our praise. and we ask that You would Set our minds upon Your holiness each day; Let those who lead in Your church be mindful of the covenant You began with Abraham and fulfilled by Your own sons death and resurrection, that You will be our God for all generations and we will be Your people.
May Your righteousness be known in the land where all is forgotten and Your wonders in the darkest night. In the same way that You call things that are not as though they were, call us from sin to righteousness that we may walk before You blamelessly.
Genesis 17:1-7, 15-16
Search out the truth You have placed in each of us Lord. Have mercy upon us when we fail to be guided by it.
In the coming days of fasting, may we honor you with our prayers and may our intentions be pure. Place in our hearts the knowledge that you desire above all the sacrifices of a broken spirit and a contrite heart.
Let us fast from the acceptance of injustice, may we welcome the uneasiness of knowing the oppressed.
May we not stare at the naked in pity and shame, but may we clothe her with our own garments that we also might know the discomfort of being exposed
Let us prepare a feast for the hungry that they might know what it is to be full
When we are faced with those without shelter for the night, Lord, let us open our homes, that we might find Your mercy within us
Let our actions be a contrast to the darkness of this world and may we be a city on a hill, that those whose eyes fall upon it, might long to visit it. As we seek to bring Your mercy and justice to all people Lord, let Your light go before us, and your glory always hem us in.
